Membership
BCT Federal Credit Union is a full service, not-for-profit "people helping people" financial institution based in Binghamton, New York. It was chartered by the U.S. Government in 1941 to service the educational community of Broome County. Membership has expanded to include many other groups and is always open to family members of credit union members. It's now a new millennium and time for you to join BCT. BCT serves the educational community of New York State’s Southern Tier -- Broome County, Apalachin, Owego, Tioga Center, Newark Valley and Candor, including Broome Community College, Binghamton University and BOCES.  When you have an official relationship with these institutions, you are invited to be a member of BCT.

Those eligible for membership include:

1. employees of public, private and parochial schools, and members of Boards of Education;
2. people under contract to provide custodial, cafeteria, transportation, counseling, tutorial and similar services to the above schools;
3. students registered in any of the above schools whether adult or child;
4. members and officials of parent-teacher associations, parent tutorial groups and parent advisory councils of the above schools;
5. employees of public libraries in the previously named areas, except County or State employees;
6. employees of WSKG Public Television and WSKG Public Radio who work in Broome County, NY;
7. employees of Opportunities for Broome, Inc. who work in Broome County, NY;
8. spouses of people who died while eligible to join BCT
9. employees of this credit union
10. people retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment
11. members of the immediate family or household of BCT members
12. organizations of such people.
